Please join us for the GCWC WRA Del Wasso Memorial Race Meet on April 00, 2026, with the Show-Me Whippet Club. Dash dog and DII dog entries welcome.<\/p>\n
Winner of this meet will be awarded a Best-in Meet rosette and a plaque on the Del memorial perpetual trophy.<\/p>\n
Pre-entries are due Wednesday, April 0 to Paula at luvwhippets@att.net<\/a>. **Please include owner\u2019s name and email, each dog\u2019s registered name, call name and titles.**<\/p>\n Over the Labor Day weekend, join us for the Dot Gammie Memorial Race Meet on NOTRA race meets will be hosted on April 12 and August 30, 2026, by Show-Me Whippet Club.<\/p>\n MEET LOCATION:<\/p>\n Rosewood Farm, 241 Prairietown Road, Dorsey, Illinois 62021.<\/p>\n Whippet measuring and inspection will begin at 8:30 a.m. with races beginning immediately following the draw of the races. Pre-entry fee is $15 per dog per day with a $45 limit per kennel for pre-entries each day. Entries which are emailed and paid on the day of the meet are pre-entries. Post entries will be $25 per dog with a $60 kennel limit each day. Any entry not received by Wednesday April 0 will be considered a post entry. Send entries to Paula Streicher at luvwhippets@att.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n All entrants must be registered with WRA. If your dog is not registered before the meet, bring a copy of the registration paper and $5 for each new dog to the meet, in addition to the entry fee. Pre-registration may be sent directly to WRA (whippetracing.org) at least 2 weeks prior to the meet.<\/p>\n The person entering a hound for racing must be the actual owner, agent of the owner, or in possession of papers transferring said ownership to the person entering the hound. All racers will run with both muzzles and numbered racing blanket. There will be 4 heats of races with up to 6 whippets in each race. All races will be from a starting box. There will be practices between heats and after Saturday\u2019s meet as time permits.<\/p>\n Water and indoor bathroom available onsite.<\/p>\n Thanks in advance to everyone for their help to make the race meet a success!
